cmp Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Hi all, In the market for my first spa. I was originally going to purchase the Hotspring Envoy, until I wet tested (thank god I did). Was not very comfortable at all, wife had a lot of issues with floating in lounger and regular seats. Today I visited a local pool/spa retailer who carries Artesian spas. I'm not too familiar with this brand, was looking at Hotspring, D1, Jacuzzi. Does anyone have any experiences with this company? I like the fact that each seat has its own pump. They have a Quail Ridge 2006 left over in the showroom that they are selling for 7,200 (originally 10,000). Is that a good deal for this tub? Only issue is this pool place does more repairs then selling spas, so they don't have any with water in them. There is a shop about 30 miles away where I can wet test, which I will definately do, but want to get opinions on the brand before I go wet test. Thanks all, Chris Quote
D.P. Roberts Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 The Artesian platinum series is a really high-end tub. They're not as popular here, but I think several people over on Doc's site (www.rhtubs.com) have them. Between the direct pump system and the all-rotating jets, they would be the first tub I'd wet test if I could afford one. There are a lot of reviews there too. Again, I don't know those prices very well, but an Artesian Platinum for that price sounds like a steal- I haven't seen a price mentioned below $10,000. Quote

I've only seen a couple and it wasn't for service work. Good freind of mine owns one and loves it. I however am a bit put off by that many pumps, seems like it would be jut more to go wrong. But it seems to be working. When it's circulating you hve to put your ear up against he cabinet to hear it, it is just that quiet. Quote

bohms Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Hi! That sounds like a great price. We have an Artesian Piper Glen (also Platinum Class) and we paid 10K (that's with hydraulic coverlifter, cover, steps, chems included). We got it in Oct 2006. I know that the Piper Glen and the Dove Canyon are the most expensive out of the Platinum Class but I would think that the Quail Ridge wouldn't cost that much less so that seems like a really good price. I would definitely wet test it at the other location before you buy it. We love having a pump for each seat. We did a lot of research before buying our tub and I would definitely rank Artesian in the top 5 as far as quality goes. Quote
