Does anybody have any opinions or experiences with either the Saratoga Spa Columbian Model or the Hot Springs Caspian Model? I need to make a decision soon, and needed to know any pros or cons on these.

Thanks so much ...

I owned a Tiger River Caspain.

I thought it was a great tub for the money. I wanted a full foam tub (I live in New England and have had Thermal tubs...no thanks) But with Full Foam, you want QUALITY. Tiger River is made by Watkins in the same factory as Hotsprings. Tiger river is a "sister brand" to hotsprings, offering the same top quality, some nice features, but for a budget price. It's my understanding the Capsian is a very popular tub for Watkins.

I would recomend you WET TEST the Caspain. It's not the biggest tub out there, and I've been told that taller folks might want a bigger tub.

Personaly, I loved the tub, I never had a lick of trouble with it and would recomend it. The foot dome is great and the tub has a great mix of sculpted seats and some open seating. All in all for the money it was a great tub. I had the freeshwater III ozinator installed and my water qualilty was always good.

What price were you quoted? Lately I've been seeing some crazy prices on it. For the right price it's a great tub. Where are you located?

I don't know much about the Saratoga line of spas. Sorry.

I was quoted $7,573.70 and that includes removal of old tub, delivery & installation of new tub, spa school (to learn how to operate the spa), & tax. This is for the Caspian model of Hot Springs/Tiger River Spa.

Thank you.

I assume that price includes a cover lifter and steps as well? See if they will add the ozinator as well and you have a square deal for that tub. Did you wet test it?

What part of the country (world?) are you in?

What was the price on the Saratoga?

No steps are needed. It is a sunk in tub. This is replacing what is already there (sunk in). Price includes cover ... and the ozinator is added already. The price is actually another $400 for placing the tub in the deck and not "on the deck." Price is now $7,973.

Saratoga Spa price is $8190 and it includes everything that the Caspian has.

We live in CT.

Thanks for all your help and replies to this.

Does the Saratoga include a subpanel? Do either company charge a sevice call trip charge for warranty work? what is the Saratoga warranty? You want a very durable tub with a strong warranty when you sink one. with either make sure water won't collect or use a submersible pump.
