Cloaked Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 I have an oldie but goodie.. Coleman Horizon 228 Sil/m Built 10/29/87 This is a great spa, but it's time to replace the heater assembly and IU am not sure where to turn to. I doubt that I can replace the original heater assembly, so my question is how much of this unit will I have to replace to make it all work again? The pump is still working okay (Hawthorn 1 1/16 hp) and the controller is good (Using 240 hookup). Any help would be appreciated... Quote

When my Coleman techs come in tommorow morning I will ask them which heater that particular model requires. We have been with Coleman spas since 1986 and the same techs so they will know right away. I'll let you know tommorow. Visit WWW.POOLTECHINC.NET to get information Quote

Cloaked Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 Thanks Spatech & Brulan! Not sure but I am guessing that the Brett Replacement Heater might be in the ballpark of what I need... Quote
Brulan1 Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 Thanks Spatech & Brulan! Not sure but I am guessing that the Brett Replacement Heater might be in the ballpark of what I need... It is a 4kw heater for that year. Also to answer your question spa-tech we were going to take the Jacuzzi line but Coleman cleaned up there act this year and lead times are better than ever. No need to share floor space. Quote
kgrape Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 Just an FYI...parts are still available for that vintage coleman. I just bought a heater for my 1986. I didnt need but it fit fine. Dont think it was a coleman original part but exactly like the one I removed from the manifold. kgrape Quote
