J-235 PROM v 5.60 replacement?

Hello my spa lost all control. 

All pumps run, and recirc & heater work, but the control panel has no effect, but it does display the current water temp.  When the tub starts up , all pumps run for a minute or so just like always and the recirc stays on after.

Oddly, if I press TEMP DOWN enough times it DOES lower the display temp , so there is extremely limited control I spose..

I'm sure the 6600-720 REV A board has an issue , but they're like $500. Before I pull the trigger on that expense , I'd hoped to pop out the PROM and replace it.  There doesn't seem to be a jumper to restore factory settings.

Any idea where I could buy that PROM? Or some other REV 5 prom (some PDFs suggest if I could get a v5.60 prom and plug it into a non-720 board that might work also).

Or other repair suggestions << $500? I only paid 500 for the whole tub, working!  There are hot springs and other very nice tubs about here all the time for <$400 or even free, so I hate to drop $500 on this, but certainly moving and replacing the whole tub ain't no fun either..

The EPROM is likely okay.  Try unplugging the topside and see if the hot tub comes on and maintains 100F temperature.  If it does, the topside is likely the culprit.
