I just got my first hot tub for cheap ($800). I'm worried about some cracks in it. I plan on drilling a small hole on either end of it to stop more cracking, then using clear silicone to fill it in.

Should I drill all the way through the insulation or just the fiberglass?

Is this just a piece of cr*p that I should throw away or is it salvageable? I'm worried because I already have $300 invested into it with the truck, let alone the time and man power to get it on my porch.

Thanks in advance yall!! Fingers crossed i can get it working.

That does not look good! $800 was a lot to spend for this condition - not just the cracks, but what little I can see of the framing looks a little hinky.

I recently picked up an older spa (2007) with no cracks, minor leak at the drain which caused some wood rot - rebuilding that now, otherwise working for $100!
