Mattd544 Posted January 11 Report Posted January 11 I just purchased a Marquis V84, the diffrince between pressure on pump 1 and pump 2 is dramatic, with pump 1 at least 50% less than pump 2. The dealer keeps trying to tell me that it is normal because of the filters on pump 1, but when removing a filter there isn't much change. Is this normal for the Marquis V84 and has anyone delt with a situation like this and was able to remedy it? Thank you. Quote

If you are trying to power the seats and the foot jet at the same time then yes you will have less pressure at the seat. Foot jets takes a lot of water from the seats in most spas. Number of jets... if pump 1 is working more jets then pump 2 there might be a slight difference but most spas are balanced out. Other things that can effect flow: Blockage at the face of the pump, incorrect wiring on the circuit board, partially closed gate/slice valve. Closed or partially closed jets. 21 hours ago, Mattd544 said: The dealer keeps trying to tell me that it is normal because of the filters on pump 1, If the high speed amp draw is the same on pump 1 as pump 2 then there should be no difference in flow pressure if there is the same amount of jets to each pump and assuming the diverter valves are set in the proper position to send all power to the seat jets. Mattd544 Posted January 13 Author Report Posted January 13 It's brand new. I check the amperage on both jets today and the pumps are running both at 9.5 amps. The slice valves where all fully open. I am unsure what or where the diverted valves are located. Quote

If the spa has diverter valves they are along the top edge of the spa and divert the water from one seat/area to another. Turned one wat they might send all the pressure to the related seat. Turn the other way it might send all the flow to the foot massage. In the middle it will send flow to both. This can effect total flow Quote
cramp11 Posted January 22 Report Posted January 22 Hey Mattd544, I got the same tub in Nov and was convinced something was wrong too. That foot jet takes away sooo much pressure from the seats. If I turn it off, they are pretty much equal. Besides the two deep seats, I find the other seats pretty tame all around. Even when opening the air jets. The deep seats are great though. Question for you. On the pump 2 side, the deep seat has a shoulder valve. When you turn yours on, does it have air mixed in or does it turn on and off with the air control for that seat? I swear it worked via the air controller, but it always has air mixed in when I use it. I don't want to call and complain if that's how it is by design. You're the first person I've seen with the same tub so if it does the same on yours, that's how it works I guess. Def drop me a note if you have any questions about the tub. I can do my best to share what I've discovered since I've got it. Cheers! 1 Quote
