Pammy Posted January 6 Report Posted January 6 We replaced a hi limit sensor on our Coleman hot tub. Still getting an OH message and water is definitely overheating. Quote
CanadianSpaTech Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Is the pump running all the time? Check your filter cycle duration and make sure it is not set above F2. If set higher the heat shedding off the pump motors can overheat the water from the inside. Quote
Pammy Posted January 7 Author Report Posted January 7 Thanks for the reply. We generally have the filter set for three hours each morning and evening. At this point it seems as though the tub is getting overheated each time we reset the filters causing it to shut down to cool the water. We also replaced the filter although it probably didn't need it. We don't know what F2 means. Its a Coleman Horizon 400 series from 1997. Been very reliable until recently. Quote

Means the spa will filter 2 hours am 2 hours pm. Start time dependent on when you power up the GFCI but yours is an older spa so perhaps it is different. Is the water actually getting hot to the point it shuts down or is it just the display/sensor that says the water is hot (108+) but the water is cool? Post photos of the circuit board and the schematic on the inside cover. You might have a stuck heater relay if water is overheating. Do you have a multi meter and basic knowledge of how to use it to test for AC power off the circuit board? Electricity can kill know your limit. 1 Quote
Spa Board Doctor Posted January 15 Report Posted January 15 Sounds like the heater relay is stuck on. Quote
