vikhog Posted October 27, 2024 Report Posted October 27, 2024 The relays get stuck quite often in our LA SPA Oasis with a Gecko in.xm1 control. I open the control box, but I cannot get the PCB out of the chassi - it is mounted extremely well. Does anyone have any idea? Thomas Quote
Spa Board Doctor Posted October 28, 2024 Report Posted October 28, 2024 The accessory receptacles on the front of the pack have rubber seals around them that provide a strong "friction" fit. Push in on the receptacles one at a time and the board will release from the enclosure. 1 Quote
vikhog Posted October 28, 2024 Author Report Posted October 28, 2024 Thanks Spa Board Doctor - perfect! I was now able to remove the PCB from the chassi. It was "only" to push out the female connectors from the chassi, but it is a tight fit and needs quite some effort. Actually a very proper design - well done Gecko! Now to the relays, I will replace them all: K1 is a ALF1PF12 K2 to K8 are ALF1T12 with 4 pins (with connectors on the top) K9 to K12 are the 4 small ones ALZ21F12 C90 with 6 pins I have understood that if/when the capacitor on the pump motors run out, the relays seems to stuck. Now I have replaced one motor completely and the capacitors in the other 2 motors. Quote
vikhog Posted November 2, 2024 Author Report Posted November 2, 2024 I found the relays on internet. But it was a real pain to remove the old ones. 1 769-ALF1PF12 ALF1PF12 Panasonic General Purpose Relays TARIC:8536411090 ECCN:EAR99 COO:TH 2 769-ALF1T12 ALF1T12 Panasonic General Purpose Relays TARIC:8536490099 ECCN:EAR99 COO:TH 1 769-ALZ51F12 ALZ51F12 Panasonic General Purpose Relays TARIC:8536490099 ECCN:EAR99 COO:TH Quote
vikhog Posted November 3, 2024 Author Report Posted November 3, 2024 After removing the relays, I saw that there are connections made on the front side of the PCB, one of them I destroyed - now the pump2 does not work. I will solder a cable around the board to fix this later. First I ínstalled it to see if it works again. It works! All in all, it was possible not worth it. Maybe better to replace the complete unit. CanadianSpaTech Posted November 3, 2024 Report Posted November 3, 2024 I am lucky to have an amazing board repair guy close by. I bring all my boards to him and let him deal with it. Never had a call back from a repair. Glad you have it (kinda) working Quote
