You generally have to buy it from the same folks who made your cover. I have had very little luck getting company A to make a foam core which will fit a cover from company B

Also - be ready for a shock on the price: you may be close to half the price of a new cover for a foam core - especially if you buy a pair. Why would you buy a pair? Because the shipping for a pair is the same as the shipping for one...

Chas is right. It was better for me to buy a whole new cover. I looked around NE Ohio, and most folks had a 2 to 1.5, or 3 to 2 taper. I did find one dealer who does 4-3 taper, and the cover I ordered from them is great. Worth the extra money. I was getting quotes of 250-299, and I ended up paying 349.99 for the better quality cover.

Getting just the foam insert for a cover is very costly when looking at the entire price of a new cover. Not to mention how challenging it is to fit it into the "skin" of the cover. I would recommend skipping just the insert and getting a new cover. Save the hassle and hunt for the foam... a little more money and your set for a new one.
