uncheck2084 Posted July 12, 2024 Report Posted July 12, 2024 I have an in ground pool with an in floor cleaning system. I noticed this year that the sand and dirt pushed by the in floor system down the the main drain is not getting picked up. I've tried brushing it and the main drain is just not sucking in anything. I've watched videos on using Drain King or other bladder system to unclog pipes. The problem is, I don't know which pipe leads to my main drain. I have a skimmer with a suction pipe. i also have another skimmer-like device with a suction pipe on the bottom, a skimmer basket to catch leaves and stuff, and 3 inlets on the top of the basket. Two are from pipes on the left and right, and a third on the pool side. I have main drain and a side drain and I assume two of these inlets are for these drains. I don't know what the third inlet is for. Is it worth trying the Drain King on these two inlets? I've included photos of my system. Quote
Ethan Adam Posted March 12 Report Posted March 12 Ahh! I think you should try a drain cleaning bladder or a drain flusher that connects to a garden hose. These tools use water pressure to push out blockages and can be effective if the main drain line is clogged. Just be sure to insert it into the correct pipe to avoid backflow into the system. If that doesn’t work, you may need to check for a valve issue or call for professional inspection.. Quote
