Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help. My Tub has a KL8-2 Control Pack. It has packed up (relay board burnt out). The keypad was on its way out as well so I have bought a KL8-3 control pack. The pack came with the schematic diagram on the box which doesn't show a great deal of detail in terms of wiring. I've got 2 questions.

1: The heater is a 3kw unit and has a control cable (2 pin connector) but the new box has a 5 pin DIN connector on the bottom of the box marked "Heater 1 Connection" on the schematic. Does anyone know how to wire this?

2: There are 2 pumps marked P11 and P12 on the old board (they are 2 different pumps located at the back of the tub). The new board only has P1, P2, P3L, BL. The old board had P11, P12, P2, P3, P3L, BL. P2 is a waterfall pump so I can lose that if needed. Has anyone done this type of replacement before?

Any help is much appreciated.

PS Ive shown schematics of both boards

I got one for you! Have a 2013 Balboa with Spa Builders AP-1400. (2) 5hp pumps that sat for 5 yrs. I want to redoSweetWater.thumb.jpg.1d454e2610779d3a766ef1e31e283f11.jpg it all but they want over $1500 for parts.

I found a Sweet Water unit with (2) 3hp pumps and top side display for next to nothing.

Wondering if I could retro my spa with it.

I do know that if I go with only a new controller VS510sz have to change rotation of pumps so why not change it all with matching pumps to the controller. I know sensors won't work but really don't care not going to hook up heater.
