myscript22 Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 We are thinking about buying the Dream Maker 5 person hot tub. We are a military family, so we move alot, and want something very portable, and lightweight. We dont want to spend alot of money, but just want something to relax in on the weekends. Does anyone own a Dream Maker, and can you tell me if you like it or hate it??? Or if anyone has another Hot tub they would recommend over the dreammaker, i welcome their advice Thanks in advance! ~Jess Quote
Pathfinder Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 In the same price range and portability you would be better off to go with a free flow or a nordic the components and quality are much better. Dreamakers have a large tendency too leak. Quote
MaRiSpaTech Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 I sell Freeflow and Nordic. For your application (portable, moving alot) I recommend Freeflow Spas. They are rotomolded like dreammaker, but they are of higher quality. Freeflow uses an electric heating element, just like every other high quality spa made today. This allows for faster heat up times and better control of the heat in general. It is also more efficient if you consider the fact that the pump runs for shorter time to heat the water, and all of the energy that the heater consumes is transferred into heat for the water. P.S. I thank your family for their service to our country! Quote

Pathfinder Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 what model of free flow are you looking at I retail the Passport for $5600 Cdn which would be around $4800US Quote
myscript22 Posted April 26, 2007 Author Report Posted April 26, 2007 i like the fantasy vision.....and the crossfire is nice too. i think the passport will be too big Quote
francishsu Posted April 26, 2007 Report Posted April 26, 2007 How wide is your door opening? The door to my three season room is around 35" wide and 79" high, so something like the Passport would fit in my case. Also, how much factor is the weight? I don't know why, but the Freeflow website has the Crossfire having a heavier dry weight than the Passport. Regardless, the Dreammaker ones appear to be much lighter. Solana (Hot Spring) also makes spas that might meet your needs. Quote

We also have the FreeFlow and have been selling them for about 5 years. It is the best of the roto molded spas. http://www.soundclick.com/havenhead Quote
Pathfinder Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 So thats your secret to staying in business you sell freeflow but doesnt that go against everything you supposedly stand for or do you have a super duper custom free flow version? Quote
Jim_The_Jim Posted May 2, 2007 Report Posted May 2, 2007 So thats your secret to staying in business you sell freeflow but doesnt that go against everything you supposedly stand for or do you have a super duper custom free flow version? 1/ Easy to fix. 2/ comon parts. 3/ Low price. Not a rip off. Real Value 4/ Happy customers. 5/ Only cheap spa worth it. 6/ Even an old man can flip them up and fix the leaks fast, by himself. The foam is lightweight and not a lot of jets. 7/ Has freeze protection on the equipment, closed room. 8/ No BS in the advertising. This is the most important part. http://www.soundclick.com/havenhead Quote
