Dpoll
Hi, I recently moved into a house with an indoor hot tub. I have been trying to fire this one up and everything seems to be working fine but I had some issues with it powering down after running for hours but not tripping the breaker. It’s an aqua spa pak and set up on a 30 amp breaker. I’m wondering if maybe the breakers too small? The spa pak has on it 23 amps but then you probably have to add the pump amps on top of that? Any info would be much appreciated.
cranbiz
That's 23A just for the heater. Nothing else is included in that total. I would be looking at a 50A breaker at minimum for the tub. Now as far as powering down after use, that won't be related to the circuit breaker. That is more likely related to the top side controller.
