Oldparkedcars Posted November 26, 2022 Report Share Posted November 26, 2022 Hi guys, I suspect my trusty saluspa plug got hot and melted from using an extension cord that's not have duty enough. The company replaced my unit, but I'd like to make it a good spare. I saw the replacement plug on Amazon but wondered if I need to replace more burned wire at the same time. Or do I need to open this up to investigate? Thanks! I'm excited to keep this baby running for years and contribute to the community. Ben from Portland. Cusser Posted December 14, 2022 Report Share Posted December 14, 2022 I would think you can buy a replacement heavy-duty screw terminal end of sufficient capacity and repair this. I would also confirm that the receptacle used for this is on a GFCI/GFI circuit. I also believe the extension cord was an issue; I was of the understanding that one should NOT use an extension cord for a backyard spa or above ground pool though....
