Algaecide turned H2O2 pool green tint

Recommended Posts

Hello, I was adjusting an H2O2 pool that I'm new to.  The pH was 6.3, TA low, Hardness low.  The pool store tested the water, and also said I needed algaecide - so I added 2/3 cup to the 20,000 gallon inground pool (vinyl liner) and 5 minutes later, there was a green tint.  I continued my adjustments, hoping for the best.  I added Sodium Bicarbonate to increase TA, and Calcium Chloride to increase hardness.  The pool pump kept circulating, and now the whole pool is a green tint.

The Algaecide has Metallic Copper as its active ingredient, so I think the H2O2 is reacting with the algaecide.

Any ideas what I can do to get the green tint back to blue?

Tim
