Bill Moody
We have older beach comber tub that we shut down each winter. This spring when we filled it, the water curculates and heats as supposed to. When we use touch screen pad to turn jets on they don’t work. Pump sounds like it is trying to move into higher speed but as I said the jets don’t come on. I tried to attach a video but wasn’t successful. Anyone else had this issue? Any ideas on what could be wrong. 1 pump only.
CanadianSpaTech
Air lock in wet end. Crack the union at the face of the pump to release any air trapped inside. Just need to back it off until water drips out
Bill Moody
Thanks for the idea. Tried it today. Got water okay. Tried jets but still no luck. Any other thoughts. Is it possible it is something in control board.
CanadianSpaTech
Carefully.... There is a quarter sized dust cover at the back end of the motor. Remove it and you will see the shaft of the motor and it has a slot in it that you can place a screwdriver in and try to spin the shaft. If it won't spin then the motor will likely need a rebuild. If it spins freely but won't start spinning when asked you might have to help it turn when the motor is trying to start. If it then starts spinning/working you might have a bad start capacitor in the motor. Might just be stuck from sitting

Once we drained tub and got that fixed we were back in business.
