RDspaguy
Going to need some info. Brand, year, pics of equipment area, circuit board, and wiring diagram. A heater has no moving parts so it can't make a grinding noise. What it can do is boil water inside of it which does make a strange noise. But then you'd have a list of problems of which the heater is not one. Does the pump work OK when the heater is turned off? Do you have good flow from the heat returns? Are there any errors on the display? Does it have a display? Do you have a multimeter?
