High PH won't budge

Hi everyone.  I'm new to the forum.  Driven here by frustration.  I have a 2016 Hot Spring Aria, 365 gallons.  Since the last fill I have been fighting to bring my PH down.  The last reading (after 2 separation doses of 4 tsps Acid Magic) was 8.4.  It's not moving.  The TA had been about 100 but now reads 170 since I raised it (prior to the acid dosing) with the intention of dropping it down with the acid.  What can I try now?  I started with the acid because the dry acid was having no affect.  I was told by the dealer to run the jets for 4 hours after adding the muriatic acid.  Could this cause the ph to climb back up?  Also, what is the proper time to wait to be certain the muriatic acid has done it's thing?  Thanks for any advice.

Aeration will cause pH to rise.  When the TA is on the high side, the same amount of aeration will cause pH to rise even faster.  4 hours seems like an awful long time to aerate in this case.  In the sticky below, 30 minutes between adjustments is recommended.

I suspect you are not adding enough acid to see a drop in pH, when the TA is on the higher side like at 170.  I would give these a read and follow the steps outlined in them.
