jasboyd
Hi All, I am installing a swim spa which I want to use as a pool for 80% of the time, but then be able to heat it up quickly and use it as a spa. Is it possible to have both an electric and a gas heater? Electric to keep it at medium temperature most of the time, and then gas to heat it up quickly for a spa. RDspaguy
It's possible, but I can't imagine why you would do so. I'd suggest using the gas heater.

Just thinking that the electric would be more cost efficient most of the time. Is that incorrect?
RDspaguy
Depends on costs at your location. There was a time years ago when people were ditching electric heaters for gas.
