PuntaGordagirl
Does anyone have a better way to affix the access door to the tub other than the long screws? I find it very difficult to get the door off for draining and an even harder time getting it back on. Possibly something with a hinge? Very bad design, in my opinion. It was the same on my larger spa also. Ideas?
kevin31
we usually hang a submersible pump in it, then the water is out within 10 minutes without having to get to the drain ✌️
RDspaguy
Get threaded rod (like a screw with no top) of the same size as the anchors, or an adapter if going into wood, and some wing nuts for the lowest set of screws. Then you can put it in place and on the studs to hold it while you put the other screws in.
cliomeasurement2
I also had a problem with the bathtub access door, but I didn't pay much attention to it. I also had problems with the hinges, but I had no plans to reappear or change them. But I caught a good moment when I called some specialists who installed my new UPVC french doors, and at the same time, I asked them about the access door from the bathtub. And because they are very nice specialists, they also quickly repaired my bathtub door. Since then, I have had no more problems with it, so it is worth calling a specialist to fix it. There are only a few small details to fix.
