DoubleAmac
Help!! I got this hot tub from some friends as they were tired of it LOL. I got it home and wired it up (house was prewired from previous owner hot tub) and I got the full 240volts across both hot wires in control panel but it does not turn on. any ideas? Thanks! CanadianSpaTech
Test fuses. The one above where the wiring connects is for the pumps but test them all.
DoubleAmac
How do you test a fuse?
cranbiz
Remove the fuse. Take a multimeter, set it to ohms. Touch the probes together, observe the reading (which should be 0.00 or really close to it). Then on the fuse, touch a probe to either end and observe the reading. If it's 0.00 or really close to it, the fuse is good. If the reading doesn't display a reading (known as an infinite reading) the fuse is bad.
DoubleAmac
When I do that it get 0.03. local hardware store doesn’t have any 25s but they have a 30? Can I use that or that bad idea?
CanadianSpaTech
use the
cranbiz
0.03 is a good fuse. That's really close to 0.00.

I thought so as well but I'm all out of options. Want to test a different fuse as they only $9 here. I'm going to grab the 30 after work and see what happens.
DoubleAmac
Thanks for all your help everyone! I found the issue. The wiring was corroded a bit after not being used for 5 years so I cut off all the ends and rewired it and it powered up just fine. Thanks!
DoubleAmac
Hey guys. Same hot tub now it is showing Sn on the control panel. I haven't been able to use it yet! lol. I can't find the reset button that all the people say on line. Any ideas? Water is warm not hot.
cranbiz
The "SnS", "Sn", or "SENSOR SYNC" Fault has occurred for more than 1 hour, indicating one or both Sensors are several degrees off, and Spa Functions are Disabled. The Sensors are Verified Out of Sync with Each Other, or Not Indicating Close to the Same Temperature at Both Sensors. You can check the sensors with your multimeter. Use the ohms setting and set the dial for 10K. Should read in the 10K-12K range. Might be the hi limit sensor that's bad.
RDspaguy
Switch power off for 30 seconds then back on. Does it run or immediately show sn? If immediate, you have a faulty sensor, replace both. If it runs for a bit before the error, how long before the error? Remove filter and see if the error stops after reset. If so, replace the filter. If not, check pump operation and flow. If good, test heater operation (make sure it's not stuck on). If good, test sensors.
DoubleAmac
Once i reset the breaker now i don't get the Sn anymore and it would run before that was on. Now i'm getting OH after awhile but the water isn't super hot. Where can i get replacement parts? Looks like need a high limit and temp sensor? The tub is from 2001 and everything looks original minus the replacement pump that was put in. Thanks!!
RDspaguy
Remove your filters and check water flow through the heater. Test voltage to heater when the system says it's off. OH is an overheat at the heater which is usually a flow problem or stuck relay.
DoubleAmac
It is working. but randomly flashes OH after awhile like its not shutting off after reaching temperature. Is that High limit sensor and/or temp sensor issue? any idea where person can get replacements for those?
RDspaguy
If it continues to heat after it reaches temp it is usually a stuck relay on the circuit board. You can test this by... It is an easy fix for an electronics repair guy. But test it first.

Use a voltmeter. Put one lead on each heater terminal.
