South Seas Spas - Jets 1 won’t shut off

We just bought a house that has a South Seas Spas 4 seater hot tub (don’t know the model). Today, we decided to start prepping for draining and refilling so that we can start using it when the evenings get cooler. Prior to this process, the jets would cycle periodically as expected. Now that we’ve turned the jets on, “Jets 2” turns off as it should, but. “Jets 1” won’t turn off. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I’ve looked at the owners manual I found online and everything talks about the jets not turning on, but nothing about failure to turn off.

Do you know if "Jets 1" is a single speed high speed only pump or is it a 2 speed pump and if it is 2 speed when you press the button does it go into high speed when pressed and then back low speed when you press it again? Trying to determine if you have a topside control button issue or if you have a board/stuck relay issue.

Unfortunately, I do not know if it is a 2 speed jet. When the jet is running constantly and we push the jets 1 button, the jets do go to a higher speed, then briefly stop when we press that button again, just to kick right back on in a lower speed. The “Jets 2” button seems to be a 1 speed button. Turns on/off when you press “Jets 2”. Each button controls opposite sides of the hot tub. J1 controls the filter side. J2 controls the other side.

Ok so the topside is working as it should. Turn the temperature down 10 degrees below the actual temperature and wait 30 seconds and see if it shuts off. If not post photos of the circuit board and the schematic on the inside cover of the spa pack. There is a small red square with little white switched along the bottom edge of the circuit board. Make sure we can see it in the photos. It's called "Switch bank A". It sounds like you might have a stuck pump relay on the circuit board. Relays can be repaired.

Not a relay, or it would not shut off momentarily before restarting. This is normal behavior for a filter or heat cycle.

Are there any errors on the display? Lower temp and check filter cycles.

Did you resolve this issue? We have a brand new 743D model and are having the same issue where "Jet 1" won't turn off. When pressed it goes into a higher mode but returns to a low mode immediately when pressed again.

Filter cycle or heating and you cannot turn it off.
