Swaney
Hello I have an aria, and wondering once you place the chemicals in the tub, how long to you circulate the water before using a testing strip or take a spa water sample to the dealer? Thanks
Swaney
Ops, it's a fresh water salt system, 325 gallons
RDspaguy
First, you get a good test kit. Taylor k2005 or 2006 are good choices. You can't trust test strips, and many dealers use a test strip system. I'd suggest you do a little reading in the chemistry section, and your owners manual, then come back with any questions. We are volunteers, and would rather not start from scratch teaching you water chemistry. It's all been discussed in depth in the threads in the chemistry section, so jump down that rabbit hole and get back with us when you come up for air. 😉

Given my experience with a similar-size spa, I'd say 5 minutes with jets on should provide plenty of mixing. I don't use test strips myself. I would just like to add that this is after any powder chemicals added, such as TA increaser (baking soda), have fully dissolved. Even better, predissolve any dry chemicals in a bucket of water before adding to the spa, particularly dry acid or shock.
