Claude Lacroix
New filter also new pump on Friday as the old one was making some bad nose took 13 hours to go up 6 degrees usually it will do 35 to 40 degrees in 4 hours small 3 person tub
CanadianSpaTech
Suggest you test for 240V across J100 and J101 when the spa is calling for heat and verify you have proper voltage coming off the circuit board. Might have a bad relay and the spa is only heating on 120V and that is why it is taking so long to heat now.
Claude Lacroix
Checked with my old meter called for heat and got nothing on the 2 j100 and
CanadianSpaTech
Ok Remove the heater quick connect and inspect the prongs inside the quick connect to ensure they are good then test it there for power coming off the board when the spa is calling for heat. If no power remove the circuit board and have a look on the back for burnt or darkened areas around the relays. You have verified you have 240V at the red and black incoming wires? red to blk = 240V I can see something metallic looking just above the heater quick connect behind the white Balboa sticker...What is it?

RDspaguy
42 minutes ago, Claude Lacroix said: 240 v present yes but not on the heater plug So, you have voltage on the prongs on the board where the heater plugs in, but no votage at the heater? Has to be the plug. They are prone to problems.
Claude Lacroix
No voltage on prongs main has 240 coming in sorry
RDspaguy
Any errors on the display? If not, it's got to be a relay or circuit board.
Claude Lacroix
No errors at all so I guess time for a new spa pack eh
CanadianSpaTech
The heater light indicator is on and solid when testing? Because there is no burnt area on the back does not mean the relays are good. If you have 240 coming in to the board and the heat light is on and no error codes on the topside with no power coming off the board at the quick connect you need to find an electronics shop that can replace the relays. I normally have them do all the relays on the board.

CanadianSpaTech
That is cheapest if you drop it off and pick it up when ready. He does great work and have never had a call back on one of his repairs. Likely around 800+ CDN for new... if you can find one
