ccolt1 Posted April 8, 2007 Report Posted April 8, 2007 I would like to know how hard it would be to replace the seals on the jets in a Cal spa classic vip model from 1993.I can't seem to figure out how to post pic.It is the jet type that you can move around in circles. We just bought the spa used and the spa has not been used for several yrs, so the seals seem to be dry looking and one came apart. I am new to spas and any info would help! Quote
hottub.pool_boy Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 If it don't leak, don't touch it. But if you are going to replace them check with CalSpa to see if the jet is sealed on the BACKSIDE of the shell. Some spas are gasketed at the backside of the shell, some are gasketed on the water side. Good to find out either way. It's not a ten minute job, could and probably will turn into a nightmare! Quote
ccolt1 Posted April 10, 2007 Author Report Posted April 10, 2007 I have figured out how to take apart eyball jet. It has 1 gasket in front and one in back. I would guess it would take about 20 min to change all 8 jet gaskets. I need to find out where to buy. I need 16 total. Thanks for the info! Quote
