Amy B
I have an above ground pool which I use chlorine for. I am now getting a hot tub and have heard mixed things about which sanitizer to use. Do I NEED to use chlorine because my pool is chlorine, OR can I use bromine! If it doesn’t matter which one, which do you all recommend? RDspaguy
Does your spa have ozone, uv, or any inline dispenser (frog@ease, smartchlor) or a salt cell? What brand and year?

You can use bromine in the spa and chlorine in the pool. Many would recommend rinsing off before going from the spa into the pool but you can go from the pool into the spa with no problem. There is a pinned post on setting up and using 3 step bromine. However, many people are quite happy with a chlorine spa, even though it is a bit more work, IMHO.
