Kevin Phill Posted June 27, 2021 Report Share Posted June 27, 2021 I was getting a bad temperature read from my 1997 Sundance montego. It would run after I reset it but would go into watchdog mode a short while later. I replaced the temperature sensor and o ring. It ran normally for about 40 minutes bringing the temperature up but then it tripped the breaker. If I unplug the temperature sensor and high limit sensor it will turn on but reads a sensor failure. Could I have gotten a bad sensor? Does anyone know the resistance of a working sensor? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RDspaguy Posted June 28, 2021 Report Share Posted June 28, 2021 Sensor resistance changes with temperature, that's how it reads the temp. Test both and compare.
