2001 Hot Springs Sovereign

To any of you spa experts,

Both the 20A GFCI & 30A GFCI on my Hot Springs Sovereign have lost their Self Test features. The breakers both still work, i.e. they are providing power to the tub, bot the self test button isn't functional on either. The heat in the tub seems to fluctuate between 78' to 88'. The heat problem hasn't been diagnosed, and I am wondering if the reason the self test on the breakers went out is related to the heat problem, and which problem came first? Any thoughts on this? Thanks

Well if the self-test function on the breakers are not operational then the breakers to be replaced as they are no longer safely protecting you.

I'm no expert but I know the guys around here will ask for you to snap some photos of the wiring diagram, and the control boards/heater so they can look for any signs of failure.

Also, are you comfortable with a multimeter and testing high voltage electricity?  If not I'd advise contacting your local Hotspring dealer to get a quote for replacing the breakers (at a minimum) and then diagnosing the heater issue.
