dB0509
Hi everyone I need to upgrade my pool filter. it's btwn 20,000-25k gallons. Two skimmers with 1.5inch pvc plumbing, but these join together and run about 10 ft in 1 pipe to the pump. So this means max gpm is around 42? I originally bought a hayward 325sqft star clear c3030. Ive seen "you can't be too big", but I think this is too big/waste of money. Is the hayward 175sqft swim clear plus better, because the flowrate is restricted due to pipes anyway? RDspaguy
@Pool Clown, @jimmythegreek, any advice?
jimmythegreek
The price difference isnt huge when upsizing filters. Bigger is always better. Plumbing pipe size is irrelevant based on sq footage of pool volume.
