Pump motor

Recommended Posts

Hi I was given a leisure bay hot tub and I’m getting it hooked up but the problem is that the pump is leaking water bad so I’m gonna have to replace it. The problem is I don’t know anything about what I’m looking for. Do I need to replace the motor and pump or just have it rebuilt. Do I have to go back with the same name brand pump or just certain information on the new pump such as amps, hp etc? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Yes.

No.

Yes.

HP is misleading as there are 2 rating "systems", so to speak. Go by voltage and amp draw, as well as pipe size and single or 2-speed motor.

Post some better pics and maybe we can find you one that will work. Or pull it out and take it to a motor shop.
