Installing Top Side Controller - Best Caulk to use? Any install tips?

Finally getting around to swapping the guts on my tub, went with a Balboa VS Spa Control Kit based on the helpful recommendations on this forum.

Removed and cleaned the old controller and looking for tips and suggestions on how to do a leak proof install. I'm a little paranoid since the water and humidity killed the old controller, also not too impressed with the double sided tape that came with the Balboa kit. 

Plan is use use the included doubled sided tape, once it dries line with some bath caulk. Went with GE Advanced Silicone 2 Clear Kitchen and Bath Caulk. If anyone has an suggested products and installation tips would love to hear them.

not sure about that brand but my sundance spa you could order a gasket from the dealer   felt like foam or neoprene type material that was sticky on both sides

BThis stuff is indestructible.   While I've never used it on my hot tub I have on everything else exposed to water. Including the seams of my RV roof and windows. 18 years and still holding up. Doesn't shrink or harden and is mold/mildew resistant.  Only drawback is you can't smooth it out with a finger like regular caulk.

Just use the "sticky tape". It is the foam gasket @contact634 mentioned, and the best thing for the job. And that's not what damaged your old one.

Want the new one to last? Leave your cover open for 30 minutes after adding chems, don't use any continuous chemical feeder, such as a floater, and don't sit on it getting in the spa.
