bradzal Posted March 12, 2021 Report Share Posted March 12, 2021 Hi, I have an 2010 Arctic Spa Tundra. Recently pump 2 stopped working. I took it apart and found that the impeller shaft broke off. I am trying to find the same impeller to install but there is no part number on it. The most I can find is BF and the green, brown, blue, red, and black stripes. Here are some photos of the parts/damage: https://imgur.com/a/DnUnFFi Can anyone help me locate this impeller? The inlet/outlet of the pump is 2.5" and 2" if that helps. Let me know if any more info is necessary to find the correct part. Edit: I think I found the part. RDspaguy Posted March 14, 2021 Report Share Posted March 14, 2021 Well, I can't find that pentair part number. Pumps are usually rated in hp, not kw. The impeller you posted is a balboa, not pentair. CanadianSpaTech Posted March 14, 2021 Report Share Posted March 14, 2021 I have seen those yellow EMG (made in Italy) motors come with different wet ends from Arctic Spa. I would nee to see better photos of the wet end housing to try to match it up. Install notes: I have had to remove the slinger and cut/shorten the end/shaft of the impeller to get it to screw all the down way onto the motor shaft. Balboa, Pentair, Sta-rite same company (BWG) I think or Balboa uses Pentair wet ends on their motors. RDspaguy Posted March 14, 2021 Report Share Posted March 14, 2021 I'm pretty sure Balboa and Pentair are competitors buying up everyone else. Pentair does own sta-rite. Balboa owns vico. CanadianSpaTech Posted March 15, 2021 Report Share Posted March 15, 2021 Only nice thing about the EMG motors is it has a nice thick shaft (no jokes please) and the shaft has a cut out for a wrench to hold the shaft between the motor and wet end. Then mentioned how to hold it, like we need instructions or something. We were just sitting here, minding our own business, when you started talking about it.
