Bob the builder
I have a SpaForm prestige 35 but don’t know how to drain it. In the bottom corner outside is a screw off cap, which I have unscrewed but nothing has come out. I then followed that pipe which leads to what I would say is the lowest point on the tub. There is now valve on this pipe. Can someone give me some direction please.
CanadianSpaTech
There are many different styles of drains so we would need to see a photo of the drain. Some you have to pull the center section outward and then rotate it to get flow...or rotate it and then pull the center section out. Others have a collar around the center section and have to be rotated to get flow. You could have one end of your garden hose lower than the spa and place the other end over a jet until you have flow and have created a siphon. It will take some time but will do the job. Drains are the weakest part of any hot tub IMO and I tell my customers not to use them. Buy a small pool pump or a "Quick Drain" https://www.hottubessentials.ca/quick-drain-hot-tubs.html Quick drains are great...Under $100...no mechanical parts, drains a spa fairly quick, light weight, easy to use and can be used as a vacuum for small debris in between your 3 month water change outs.
