DougA Posted February 6, 2021 Report Share Posted February 6, 2021 I have a 400 g. hot tub with Nature2, MPS and occasional adds of bleach because CYA is high (100 ppm). My combined chlorine is 5.0 in my hot tub. Free chlorine is a 2.0. Can I fix the combined chlorine with MPS? If so, how much should I use? Any other recommendations. Thanks! WIth a CYA of 100 you will need to maintain a FC level of 8-13 to keep it sanitized and will have to raise it to 39 to shock it. I would started by draining atleast 2/3's of the water out to get the CYA down to 30 or so. If it were me...I would drain it all and start over.
