PNW Soaker 11
Hey guys, I decided to try Chlorine on this last fill and I'm really liking the fact that I can use MPS shock (non chlorine) often / as necessary to keep the water crystal clear, without it causing the bromine level to spike and therefore a long wait to get back in the tub. Thoughts?
blinky 2
Been using Chlorine for many years. Had a Bromine reaction once and never went back.
waterbear 102
Bromine is easier and more forgiving at the high temps in a spa and three step bromine is a lot less work than chlorine but chlorine is not really that hard if you keep on top of the water testing. As far as MPS, it has its own set of negatives associated with its use and it is a known irritant that many people cannot tolerate so it should not be used indiscriminately.
