MJT
Has anyone used the Simplesilver spa sanitization system? It's touted as a mineral and silver puck which lasts for a year and requires no other chemicals. It's essential to have the circulation pump to cycle for about 12 hours per day and to clean the filter every two weeks for the minerals to work efficiently. I have searched for hours and can find no independent reviews of this product. The New Zealand company says it's been in use since 2003, so it's surprising that there are no independent evaluations. RDspaguy
As a secondary purifier, I am a fan of silver ion, but it has too slow of a depletion rate vs many pathogens to be effective as a stand alone sanitizer. It will cut down significantly on the amount of sanitizer needed, but does not eliminate the need for chemical sanitizers such as chlorine or bromine. I have never heard of this brand.
