Xxwolvpacx
Hey everyone, I’m hoping to get a little help. This is my first hot tub to own and the seller provided no guidance on the chemistry. I’ve had this tub 2 weeks tomorrow. We have been using it pretty heavily. This past Wednesday I added enzymes, oxidizing shock, and stain and scale prevention. We used it twice yesterday and I noticed the chlorine was at 0.0. I changed out the frog smart chlor even though it sounded like there was still some left when I shook it. I also added more oxidizing shock about 3 hours ago. It’s still testing at 0 for some reason. Am I just being impatient? Any help is appreciated.
RDspaguy
Test strips are unreliable. Get a kit. I like taylor. Any new-to-you spa should be purged with Ahh-Some spa purge to remove chlorine-eating biofilm. Do you have an ozone generator or uv purifier? Read the sticky thread in the chemistry forum on dichlor/bleach.
