Tomspool
i have an indoor swimming pool with two skimmers. There appears to be a leak on one of the skimmers, between the skimmer faceplace and the pool wall, the mortar is disintegrating leaving gaps. Can i fix this leak with a pool putty or 2 part epoxy? RDspaguy
You can put a band-aid on it that might last a few years and ruin any chance of a real repair. If you're going to do that, use silicone caulk. At least it can be removed when it's time to get it fixed right. @jimmythegreek, @Pool Clown, anything you can add, this is not my area of expertise by a long shot. jimmythegreek
A good fix is to use a grout removal tool amd scrape the area down to leave a deep valley all around it. Keep nice clean edges take your time. Then use an epoxy tile grout to grout the joint. Doing just a patch area usually leads to the surrounding areas failing soon after so I prefer to do it once
