Arctic Coyote sound system stopped working

Hi all,

I have a Arctic Spas Coyote Hot Tub that I've owned for about 12 years. All is well with it except the sound system packed in recently. The company that installed it seem to have gone bust so I can't contact them for assistance.

I've had a look and it appears to be the amp that has packed in (I temporarily replaced it with a hifi amp to check the wiring and it worked fine) - it's an AMC a65s which I can't find anything online about.

I've been quoted nearly £400 for a replacement which seems pretty steep. I was wondering if there is any reason I can't use a cheaper, newer power amp instead?

It all connects to a Gecko in.xm2 controller for power etc so presumably I would need to change the plug on the new amp - it uses Gecko [in.link](https://in.link) plugs so could I just swap with the power cable on the old one?

I'm just looking for advice on whether there is anything else I need to consider here - or can any amp be used?

Thanks

Keith

How about a boom box with remote control, or one powered by batteries???

We use our indoor stereo but have two speakers mounted on the patio, activated by a switch.  True: we cannot change stations or adjust volume while in the spa.  We also have a remote-controlled TV hanging from the patio ceiling.

Thanks Cusser,

We are temporarily using a bluetooth boom box but ideally I want to use the built-in speakers and have a more integrated system set up again.

Just not sure if any old amp would do or whether I need something specifically made for Hot Tubs.
