Andrew88
Now typically I would use the forum search function first for a question like this, but for some reason, that feature on this forum refuses to load on my phone. Anyhoo, do spas typically consume water at any rate over a period of time?. Or, should the water level stay consistent at all times?
RDspaguy
They lose water through carryout, evaporation, and leaks.
Andrew88
As I expected. If used daily and kept around 100 degrees F. Could that loss be around .5-1" daily or is that more likely suggestive of a leak?
RDspaguy
That depends on how many people, how much clothing (shorts carryout more than bikini) and how long the cover is off. An inch a day is alot. I would remove the side and check the equipment for leaks. Sounds like a shaft seal or o-ring.
Cusser
That's a substantial leak.
RDspaguy
For me it's pretty normal, but I have a 7 year old who loves to splash and play for hours. Loss depends on use.
CanadianSpaTech
Is there a consistent wet spot/area around the base at one of the corners?

Oldy
Do you heat it up? It can just evaporate that much over if you keep it toasty..
RDspaguy
That is very excessive for evaporation alone unless the cover is off for most of the day.
