shaned
So I have decided do a low profile deck for a spa. 8x12. I am seeing two ways to do this. Any thoughts? If someone just wants to send me a plan that would be great! Haha 1. Deck blocks- https://www.pinterest.com/pin/567664728021947881/ 2. Digging post holes and filling up with concrete. https://plasticinehouse.com/how-many-footings-do-i-need-for-a-deck/
RDspaguy
A stable footing that will not shift or settle is key. You are putting a couple of tons of water on it, so a sinking footing could be disasterous for your deck and your spa. I would pour the footings. They are easier to level that way as well. I would also recommend that you use the option with a foundation or support, this is from my experience. Dude, it's a two year old post, OP hasn't posted since June 2020, pretty sure they're gone lol
