HSFan
Hi - I just installed new heater on my workhorse Landmark. As I turned on breakers circ pump making started weird noise I never heard before. I can see water slowly going thru tubes for a few minutes and then red lights would flash start flashing. I flipped off breakers and this time red light stayed solid. There were no bubbles. Jet 1 was running but shut off in a few minutes and red lights started to flash. Is this a circ pump issue? Any advice would be appreciated? Thanks
RDspaguy
Sounds like it. Disconnect the hose from the pump and bleed out any air, then do the same to the heater. Put your hand on the circ pump, is it uncomfortably hot?
HSFan
I bled both earlier with no change. I was going to disconnect hoses from circ pump, open circ pump to see if moving for a few seconds to see if functional. Would that be a good next step? thanks for your advice! RDspaguy
Try removing the filters. If that doesn't do it, try to use a garden hose to force water through the circ pump pipes. If that doesn't do it get a new pump.

HSFan
Hi again, I thought I’d try and bleed the hose to circ pump again and ran a little longer. Connected back up and fired up breaker - no flashing light😁🤔. But still no bubbles from center. If circ pump is working does it get warm as mentioned in earlier message? Is no bubbles mean something else not working? thanks for guidance!
RDspaguy
You just like things complicated, don't you? If the pump is moving water you should have bubbles. You should feel warm water from the heat return if the heater is on. If the heater turns on with no pump it will give you the flashing light. If you have no flow and no flashing light the heater isn't on. Turn off power for 10 minutes to reset. Verify flow by putting your hand over the heat return. Is there good pressure? Is it warm? Some heaters have a manual reset on the plastic heater box. See if you can find it. It will likely be low on the box on the side facing away. HSFan
Hello again Guru - I was hoping it was air block issue to save some $ but I have ordered Laing circ pump and new ozone hose because mine has some debris in it. Appreciate your expert advice and let you know outcome.👍🏼

HSFan
Hi again - I finished the circ pump install and bubbles are now flowing But now wave pumps not turning on. Got any advice? Thanks as usual!
castletonia
Are power and ready blinking? Are either of the pumps trying to run (does anything happen when pressing the jets button)?
HSFan
Power light is on. Ready light is off. No blinking. As I push Jet button 1 or button 2 I hear a click and nothing turns on. I looked at board and lim and heater light is on. The sound I think is coming behind plate where relays are. Any Help is appreciated. Thx
RDspaguy
Check the breakers.
HSFan
CB are on. What shud I try next? Hanks!
RDspaguy
Check voltage into the board and out to the pump. You are hearing the relay close, which should turn it on. It has either lost voltage before the relay, has a bad relay, or a pump problem. Need to track it down. Do you have an electrical tester? HSFan
Yes I do. I’ll test for voltage. Odd both pumps were working a day ago. Thanks much again!
RDspaguy
It is odd. Could you have hooked something up wrong?
HSFan
The circ pump and heater install was fairly straightforward and ensured I didn’t touch anything else. Would air block be cause? Does the ready light need to be on for pumps to work?
HSFan
Also the new heater is not working either. I took temp at 5am today and read 65. I checked back at 10am and still same temp. Bubbles are flowing from bottom drain after new circ pump was installed. 😩
RDspaguy
Check voltage for that, too.
HSFan
Main breaker in garage goes off when wavemaster runs for 10 mins. Any suggestions? Thanks!
RDspaguy
So the pumps run now? Is it heating too? Turn temp down so heater is off and run pump, does it still trip after 10? Is it a gfci breaker? No, it's the 50 amp main? Replace breaker.
RDspaguy
Are you making this up just to mess with us? 🤪 I have been in this business for 25 years, and I have always said there is no spa I can't fix. But I am starting to wonder if I have been wrong. You have more problems than any 3 people I can think of!
HSFan
No I wudnt make this stuff up. Believe me I’d rather be sitting in this hot tub with a ice cold beer. I got 3 teenagers that ask me everyday for past 2 weeks “dad is the hot tub fixed?” So I really appreciate your patience! Let me try now....
