Kevin L
So I recently got my hot tub going, it has a gecko s class spa pack on it paired with a hydroquip k9 topside. The issue I’m having is it only runs and heats for 20 minutes and I have to go back out and turn it on. I’ve set the duration of the cycle but when I hold down the pump button it only brings up a “56Y” reading. I’m not sure how else to program that display It’s also worth mentioning that I had replaced the old two speed pump with a one speed, could it be because I didn’t adjust the jumpers? RDspaguy
Ok. I think I need a little more info. Maybe year and brand, how long you've owned it. Which pump you replaced. What the display shows. My guess is you took out the main pump, the one that circulates for heating and filtration, and replaced it with a single speed pump that has no low speed for heating and filtration. High speed has a twenty minute time out, which you would know if you had it very long. You should have asked us before you got a new pump. You can make it work to a degree by wiring your pump up to the low speed wire in the cord, so switch red and black. Make sure you cap off the extra wire, it will still be hot if you hit the jet button. Then get a second job to pay the electric bill and save for a new pump, since this one won't last long. Best of luck.
