chrisc0le
Hi all, new to the forum, but have been eagerly consuming all the information from you guys recently. I hope the title explains everything well, but i'd like to switch to the bleach method when i refill in a month or so. I've had a good look online for bleach that matches the criteria but it's not going well. The only alternative I can think of is using liquid chlorine, but the strength of the stuff I have found is pretty high (Sodium Hypochlorite 14/15% (Liquid Chlorine) - 5 Litres) and i would prefer to find a source of bleach a lot closer to the specified percentage. The only posts i have found are from a long time ago and the links in the thread are long gone.
chrisc0le
Ok lots of views but no answers. it's a tricky one for sure. I dont think i'm going to be able to pick up non commercial bleach in the UK that covers the needs. What about this? https://www.allianceonline.co.uk/sodium-hypochlorite-1415-swhp0026.html It's blue horizons so specifically for pools, but obviously it's stronger than anything listed on the pool calculator. Can this be added neat or would it need diluting? And based on the 12.5% bleach calculation on the pool cal, can i just add a little less than it suggests? I really don't want to be throwing hazardous chemicals into a hot tub without knowing I have the correct stuff.
