borland
I have a LifeSmart Bermuda which has been great. Last week, I went to check on it and it was 114 degrees. I promptly shut off and let cool. I cleaned the filter as some said. It cooled off and when I plugged back in, it seemed to work (it was off waiting to get to low turn on temp). However when it hits that low set temp (or I guess below), it turns on and heats and heats and wont shut itself down. I dont really get it - is it a board issue - b/c it clearly heats, clearly knows the temperture is exceeding the set temp (or even overheating)- just doesnt want to turn off. This is a 110v system. Thanks for any ideas, JB
npm
Hi Borland, did you ever find the cause of this problem. I have the exact same problem. I have been trying to fix it for weeks to no avail. Very strange that the hot tub knows that the actual temperature is above the set temperature yet won’t turn the pump off. mrod500
Same problem with mine as well.
CanadianSpaTech
If pump is continiously running check filter cycle duration. Pump runnig for long periods can heat the water without the heater on.
CindyM
I have the same problem. Did this get resolved?
RDspaguy
What brand is your spa? Filter cycle settings are often the cause of overheating. Make sure you do not have it set to run excessive amounts.

RDspaguy
I urge you all to start a new thread so your problems can be addressed individually. We are happy to help, but one at a time please! We need some basic information about your spa so we know what we are dealing with. Unfortunately, there is not just one simple answer. The easiest thing to check is the filter cycle duration, so start there. If the problem continues, start a thread of your own and someone will help you. Rickine Kestin
I am having the same problem. I change the Temp Wire and that help for about 2 week then it started over heating again.
