Ja83
I need help , I’m new to the hot tub thing and have a older down east spa that I drained and refilled. After doing so the motor wouldn’t work after checking the motor I found it was bad so I replaced it with a new one. Now after installing the new one I can’t get high speed to work. I checked wires over and over to insure it was not those and since it only worked on low I swapped the wires on motor to see if high would even work and it does just fine. But when I put the wires back as they should be the high want work. What could be the cause.
DavidfromGeorgia
Is it possible that the old pump motor was a single speed? I ask only because I just bought a new control panel, and there are options on the board for a single speed, or a two speed pump. On mine, it’s a row of tiny rocker switches that you set one way or the other depending on which equipment you have. It may be that you have to physically move a wire or jumper on your control panel, also, if you’re going from a single speed to a two speed. Im no expert, so use caution.
