Cheffy Posted May 11, 2018 Report Share Posted May 11, 2018 I just bought a new hot tub, they brought all these chemicals in a box for me to add to my hot tub, they also bought me some test strips so i can test my hot tub. They put bromine in my hot tub when they installed it and said I would need to had more every 3 to 6 days and that I should had two tbls and a teas of it to my water. Thursday gets here and I add two tbls and teas of bromine to the water and I can definitely smell it on my clothes when i get out of the hot tub but when I use the test strips to check to see if there is enough bromine in the hot tub it does not even register on the test strip.. What should I do I have added the amount of bromine they have asked me to do and you can smell it in the water? Should I get a different test kit. Which kind is the better test kit?
