Elis & Hari's Grandad
Hello Guys. I have just started up our hot tub ready for the summer (we shut it off for the winter). It tripped out in the fuse switch so I opened the control panel up & noticed some water in the very bottom. There seems to be water coming up through the live & neutral connections. These are actually rusty so it must have been leaking for a while. Question is: easy fix - washer/gaskets or buy new?
Cusser
The fix depends on whether your heating element is a simple screw-in element like mine on my '88 CalSpa is. I buy new elements at Home Depot and the come with a new rubber gasket/seal. I can change the element in under 10 minutes. If yours is leaking through the terminals, sounds bad, and the threads are likely bad as well. Always make sure to get correct voltage and wattage for your spa element
