Frohio Posted December 10, 2017 Report Share Posted December 10, 2017 We have a Solana TX small hot tub purchased in 2006 that I bought used in 2015. Everything works but periodically (after 1 minute to 72 hours) it will stop and display "- - -" on the control screen. The only way to get it to start working again is to open the breaker for a minute and reset it. It is cold now and I am afraid that it will turn off and freeze before I realize it is off. It will trip when the low or high speed pumps are on and also when neither are on. But seems to do it most often when neither are. It was updated when I got it by my electrician to be a 30 amp 240 volt system. So the heater and pump can run simultaneously. Inside everything looks clean and new. It sits outside and is exposed to cold weather. Today it is 25 F. What would cause this behavior? How should I troubleshoot it? Dealer is an hour away so I would like to fix myself. Thanks.
