Ahhsomeguy
Hi DVK: Since your Tub Is new I would recommend that you use a Hot Tub plumbing cleaner to flush your system. Doing this will certainly get you started on a program that will not be influenced by a Biofilm condition, Clean plumbing lines will also decrease sanitizer demand going forward. Many manufacturers ship new Tubs with traces of water and moisture in the plumbing lines. The tub may set for months before the consumer fires it up and starts using an approved sanitizer program. In many of these cases colonies of bacteria are allowed to continue their rapid growth within the moist and usually warm environment. So, do the purge and that will definitely assist you in lowering your water maintenance. Start with fresh water and let’s see how the chlorine, pH and Total Alkalinity respond.
